Stylegala / Breaking news
Stylegala is changing. This year we are celebrating 50 internet years online and we decided to make a change around here.
Stylegala has been around for a long time. Back in the days it was one of the most popular sites around with over 1.000.000 visitors monthly that showcased good quality designs combined with modern web development using web standards and CSS.
Back in 2004, using CSS for design and adapting accessibility and useability guidelines was rare and new to the commercial internet world. Stylegala acted as a portal and forum for inpiring, promoting and discussing modern web techniques for web developers and designers everywhere.
Today, things have changed. Using CSS for design is now standard, accessibility issues became important and web standards awareness has increased in every aspect of web development. The number of new CSS galleries since our days has been exploding, I recently saw a post that listed over 100 CSS galleries and counting.
Looking into the future
We feel that there is no longer any need for another CSS gallery. Web standards is not unique anymore and there are tons of new CSS resource sites out there, all serving the masses with great content.
So what will happen to Stylegala? Actually, we don't know yet. And we need your help. So we created a small poll where we would like you to give honest feedback about the site and in what direction we should be heading.
Thank you for participating!
