Review:

and badboy is his personal site. It's not a "wild" site packed with content and articles, but a very elegantly designed portfolio and information site with super clean code, good typography and a calming palette. I like how the design elements stays out of the way from the content. Great job, and it's especially nice to see the growth of web standards and good design in central Europe.

This design sits really well with me. The rollovers on the journal entries are slick, and the overall design is extremely well executed. Great job.

The color scheme is well done, but the site felt empty. Wasn't anything that special.

I personally liked the firm's site for who he worked for:

It's an honour to be featured here and receive such good reviews only a couple of weeks after I launched my website.

I know that the site might feel a bit empty as far as content goes but I promise some interesting articles in the near future.

Excellent site! Great to see more Romanian sites being featured here!

I also think grapefruit.ro is a beautiful site, like Kristopher said.

It's a nice site, but the color scheme could be a bit different.

Nice site. I think its been ripped off by these dudes though - http://www.creativevillage.co.uk

Unbelievable, they havent even tried to change any of the graphics

Yup, I just got ripped big time.

And by a so-called "design-agency" even.

What is the world coming to?

While flattering that my work proves inspiring, when someone simply copies everything and tries to take the credit, it just makes me sad.

I'll keep you posted on how this whole-mess sorts out eventually.

Hrmmm... who's the rip? The romanian website showcasing a personal blog that hightlights "personal problems" and mention of previous clashes with other sites, or the international company from england that has a staff of 13. Perhaps the young man should resolve his personal problems and move on to designing his own websites rather then copying ones he sees on the internet.

Cheers.

I wouldn't go there James if I were you.

It is clear that your website has a more recent date than mine, so... no need to comment here.

I'd suggest you get your story straight and come clean.

However, this is no place to talk about this sort of things.

I saw badboy some time ago and your site James and I'm afraid to say it but your "international company" ripped it mate.

Poor show.

You say international agency, yet you don't have a single web design in your portfolio other than some nameless horror with a handshaking image. It's not only unethical, it's theft of intellectual copyright and you are liable to being sued. I hope, anyway.

I may be blind, but http://www.creativevillage.co.uk and http://www.badboy.ro/ dont look alike to me..

Man badboy your site its sweet.. now if only i could make my site half as good as yours!

I retract my comment - http://www.creativevillage.co.uk shame on you.. at least they have changed there page now.

Would be even better if it was possible to size the type ont eh homepage and have the site scale to accomodate it.

Browsing around the front page brings up some nice rollover effects; however, going into the site launches an insane javascript alert that keeps prompting dialog boxes with what apepars to be phone numbers.

Had to force quit Firefox to get out of it. Site looks nice and when you clear up all of your hack/spam problems I'll take another look.

I had Lucian (badboy) design a logo for me. He's got vision.

He also released the "nice forms" open-source designs.
