Review:

Firewheel design just made a redesign of the site, and is now labelled 2.0. Some daring color combinations with bright greens/cyans combined with the orange/black/grey strikes me and the new large headers are punchy. Nice coding as usual and the new site has better structure and more content. I am unsure about the menu though, the dark grey melts into the black, and upon text resize the menu goes hiding under the content block.

I don't like it. Too many words and too many little pictures in a too small area. (I hope my english is good enough for you to understand, what I wrote)

Nice. It has a mozilla.org feel about it.Needs a little layout tidying. the bg image is a pixel out.

I do love the colors - the design is striking, and coincides with the name firewheel

Hey all, I'm really looking forward to seeing the feedback the new site design receives. It's really tough to follow-up the previous design, and I'm sure many will miss some of its elements. For those interested, notes on the new design have been posted at yellowlane.com.

Well, the layout acctually resembles something I was working on myself so now I have to throw that out the window :p.

One thing I would like is a bit clearer navigation. It feels a bit tucked away up there. Only reason I noticed it really is because I've visited the old site.

Readability might be an issue, with so many high-contrast things, and having the text set to a fairly light gray text. Like the highlighting of certain things though.

Using Georgia AND Verdana. Very nice, hehe.

I dig the color scheme too. Striking, but fresh.

I REALLLY like the highlighting effect you used.

I like the design of the site. The combination of the colors is catchy, yet produces only positive impression on me - nothing disturbs me really. the only thing I'd like to see changed is navigation - they could better use the black area at the top of the page for 2nd level nav.
