Review:

I was always a fan of the excellent music website site itself sticks to the formula, but when it is executed this well, it is worthy of greater attention.

Strong logo, a masthead leaving users in no doubt what the site is for, and excellent organisation of information inside a well-structured grid. Under the hood, the heading heirarchy is spot on, and there is smart use of definition lists marrying thumbnails to descriptions.

I'm not so keen on the change in font weight on menu rollovers, and I'm sure some of you will bemoan the use of a grey diagonal background, but on the whole these Northern Englanders have cemented their reputation with another solid, legible and rewarding design.

I like the blue on white, and I love the whitespace. I think a text-decoration:none; would do better on thoose blue-links. And there is one more thing, the menu, it moves when I hover "About".

no comments on the design of the site, but the logo is superb indeed.

I love the footer!

Nice, clean and bold design. But a few minor details let it down: is the logo image supposed to be a slightly different shade of blue than the rest of the masthead? Also, the diagonal bachround doesn't quite match up where it meets the footer and header portions. The 'moving' links, mentioned above, also let it down a little.

My mistake, the error on the diagonal background is only on the footer.

I *LOVE* the footer even if it doesn't go with the "simple design" claim; I think it's worth stretching into a theme. , Unfortunately it's more interesting than the header.

I feel the header is too large and the color so energetic that it over-powers the top of the page: me, i'd like to see what it looks like with the colors inverted for the header and the navigation bar (immediately under it).

It's a little irritating that the Latest Articles and Latest News boxes aren't the same length (Latest News hangs a few pixels lower - just enough to notice, not enough to be intentional!). But I like the grey matting on that table.

Great use of white space and restraint with the rulers.

opendna. Not only your site sucks design-wise, but more importantly, content-wise. God beware!

That's why I'm looking thru stylegala. It's long past time I replace that hack.
