Review:
Alen Grakalic wasn't satisfied with the last incarnation of this site being declared "Worth a Visit," so he went back to the drawing board and came up with a lovely new look.
I'm particularly pleased with Alen's ability to provide a rich, textured, hi-fi design without sacrificing restraint and minimalism. He strikes a balance that makes the site inviting and comfortable.
The code could be a bit tighter. The pages I tested came out valid, but there are a few odd heading issues, as well as some divitis and the mingling of presentation and content. Overall, though, it's apparent that he's quite skilled at his profession.
My only beef with the site's appearance is the odd use of drop shadows on the different page sections, but I think that Alen compensates for it with the great color scheme.

I can't see a background for the content div in OS9.IE.5.1... Just letting the developer know. (I've had soo many issues with this and still have yet to figure it out.)
As for the site, great color palet and typography, which seems to be a recurring theme in the selections here. Good to see that.
The site seems generic in layout though - nothing too smashing. But well done nonetheless!!
Good job!!
My turn Alen. Bitchin' (<- can I say that?) design. Great use of color! I like the subtle action on the tabs if you will call them that and the use of pixel fonts. As you know, I love pixelfonts and the color orange. Your logo as always is rad.
And of course, not to be missed is the creation of your own CMS. Nice work bro.

I like a lot - particularly the colour scheme - but I'm on a campaign against justified type, particularly on paragraphs with a short line-length (like in the sidebar... but even in the main section I don't think it works so well). Nice job though.
i love it...perfectd design, clean and beautiful...awsome work...
Looks like the "design eye" panel for dk is starting to influence people. This is the 3rd or 4th site I've seen that has a similar "feel".
Very pleasing design, but can't say I agree with such element ID's as "left", "right", and "top" for obvious reasons.
I wouldn't think a site like this, that has been around for a while, would still be making semantic mistakes like that, but oh well.
Very beautiful design though, and hey look! It's NOT in PHP. I guess that means custom written CMS...always a plus in my book.
[Note to moderator: Why is there a size limit set on the email field, yet it allows me to enter any size I want. Somebody needs to read Defensive Design for the Web. Yes I *do* have a long email address, why is that bad?]
First of all I would like to thank for the feature. I would also like to thank everyone for taking the time to comment my site. I will sure take it in concideration.
CRAP! Yep, that's what i say when i see great designs like these! CRAP! Sorry but I just couldn't restrain myself. I envy your talent man, as well as the other designers in the gallery. CRAP!
Nice. I especially adore the color choice. And the minor details are also attractive, but for the weird shadowing that doesn't match a single virtual “light source”. I agree with the reviewer on that.
Nice design and use of colour.
I like the color palette and that's about it. Its nothing to take personally about your design, I just don't like the disjointed navigation, and use of the sidebar.
