Review:
On first glance, this might look like a routine blog site, with the usual header, sidebar, etc.
But look more closely. It's the details that set this one apart.
Stephanie put a lot of love into this design, tending to little details like borders, background images, exact color choices, typeface selection, etc. She's even got a nice first-line indent on comments.
She makes excellent use of sIFR for headings, and the code is nicely done (though she's got an awkward gearshift from h1 to h5).
Overall a very nicely-done site. I look forward to seeing more of her work in the future.

I can't read the headers in FF 1.0.3 / WinXP. They get like -20px letter-spacing from what it seems. I have flash enabled and everything. Nice site other than that.
That's very strange, Jacob, because I have the same config as you, and her sIFR headers looks fine to me.
James, I totally agree with your review. I left her a nice little comment on her own site echoing your sentiments. I only fear that she won't get the same respect as other sites merely because it's a "blog design." I think this anti-blog look sentiment is getting a bit overblown. I think people who make something beautiful even in a traditional layout is still worthy of attention.
I use Gentoo Linux, Firefox 1.0.4... The navigation hover creates a small flicker in her header image "Journal". Other than that and the visitor counter, pretty nice site :)

Pretty good site, i must say.
Burgundy color scheme, and picture of black with red toungeu, make sence! However, you can pick layout higger, im talking about gap between header image top margin.
Eyes catching website, brown with dark red...make sence..a bit spaces between top menu items, perhaps put them closer..
content orginised well, also the page can be lift up to top border, why to have space between header and top margin
