Review:
You think the website design process is tough? Spare a thought for designer Alex. Building this website was only the first part of a process that will end with a 600km cycle trip across Africa to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Trust.
, but again I was waiting a while for images to download. Final gripe? OK, maybe the spacing of the text and headers could be a little more generous, but that's me being picky.
I've no doubt that Alex would rather have been out and about trying to gain mores sponsorship rather than be stuck inside fiddling with div tags, so it's highly commendable that so much care and attention has gone into this website.
Good luck with the trip, chaps.

A really stylish website for what looks like a stylish pair. And what a great cause, best of luck to you both! Anyone reading this should head straight for the donations page, a little from everyone could soon add up to a lot so go on...on yer bikes!
Best of luck to you both, I really hope you manage to reach your £10,000 target, and great job with the site too!
Like this site! Rather you than me! Sent you a donation for a good cause.
Like the strong design and good use of imagery- keep up the good work.

HA!
Great site for a great cause. It's very friendly and a bit cheeky, perfect for the job. I especially like the photo headers and titles on each page.
Wish I was coming with you guys, I could use a reason to get into shape...!
Everyone should check this out - and then make a donation!
Spectacular job. All elements just seem to fall in place perfectly.
Nice one guys, I used to drive that route twice a week and I'd gladly swap places if you want to hire a cyclist - it's a gorgeous bit of countryside. Good luck with the fundraising and have a great time!
This is a really well-crafted effort. Similar sites for sponsored events can look a bit scrappy and 'slapped' together - this doesn't! I especially like the good use of colour and the typography is also very stylish and appropriate.
The gallery images loaded quickly for me, and it is clear a lot of effort went in to how the site would look.
With a site as good as this - visitors should feel more comfortable with being generous with donations! Good luck to both of them as they ride around on bikes for a very worthy cause.
Thanks for taking the time to write such a thorough review Simon, and giving the site some much appreciated space on Stylegala!
Training is going well at the moment, but there's still a fair way to go, hopefully I'll have the stabilisers off in the next couple of weeks too! ;)
Thankyou to everyone who has given us support and donated too, we'll hit that 10k if it kills us!
Cheers
Alex
I think it's great to see the internet being used for something like this rather than bitching moaning and flaming :) Best of luck in your goal to reach 10k! I'll be sure to check back to see how things are progressing. Good work!
the site is realy beautiful. i like the dark colors combined with the fresh "wave" blue. the main title font is also a nice one, im wondering which one this is...
does the wave belong to the logo?
if yes, so i dlike to see the logo scaled, because i think that will not work. but anyway, a fresh and clean design. congratulation.
What really bothers me, is the orange color of the undertitles, stating mileage in the root section or the name of the author in the Diary section. On the gray backgroud, it's completely unreadable! Other than that, a not bad site. And the logo is great!
I like wave logo as cartoon, looks non ordinary. nice website anyway
