Review:
Syd is a story teller. You can tell just by looking at him. His face is an open book and it invites you into his site.
Simple, clean, and extremely usable. is how Megan Coleman describes the site and hey, I have to agree with her 100%.
The color palette is warm and inviting. The fonts are well selected and the layout is intuitive.
I like this site for what it is and how easy it feels to use. Looking at Syd's site I believe that he is a teller of great tales.
The site does not break new ground but what it does do it does very well indeed. A very nice site in my book.

While the front page is a bit bland, the rest of the site is relatively nice. The color palette makes me think of Home Depot and this is some Bob Villa type guy.
The subpages are very nice here, but I'm not sure that the homepage quite works aswell. I think they'd have been better of keeping it closer to the subpages, it feels a little empty and "what do I do now?" at the moment. I'd definitely like to see some "teaser" boxes in there to coax the user further in.
Clean code, standardises, the colour pallet and layout work well together. I agree with Garrett (above) about the homepage, but overall really nice site. 7/10.
I like the site okay. I agree with what was said above that the site is nice but the home page feels like a landing page and I skipped over the content all together. I like the simple design and the current state on the navigation is really nice looking and a nice effect for someone who is a speaker...that was nice. My biggest issue is a huge one for me and that is his e-commerce solution. I am not the biggest fan of PayPal especially when you leave the site you are on and a new window pops up and all this crap! You will instantly loose sales because of this. It is not that expensive to purchase a shopping cart and for a well done website I hope is in the works as a phase two of the project. I am not going to sign up for an account with paypal, take the time to register my bank account, verify the deposits made just so I can hear this guy speak. Seems like saving some cash in the front of the project will come back to bite him later.
looks like pieces where ripped off... i mean influenced by a previous stylegala piece @ http://31three.com/
This site is pretty bland to me, dont get me wrong its set up well and coded well but beyond that its just a list of links on the various pages with a header/leader image. not too much past that.
It is about time more brown was used. I presume the front page content will never change. Considering the limit scope of the website and I believe it is quite static the designers have done a good job.
Great looking site. The only thing I would change would be to add rounded corners to the little sidebar items with the diagonal line background. The hard bottom edge is a bit distracting.
I don't see any resemblance to 31three.com besides the fact that it has a top navigation and a header. Isn't that true of many other websites?
Overall its a good job and solid site - nice colorscheme and well coded. the homepage breaks "the story of the site" - as Garrett posted before, it feels a little bit empty - is miss something catchy...
I really like this site, in particular its simplicity. I do agree with earlier comments levied against the homepage however. There is certainly a feeling of "so now what" when you land on the site.
However, that aside, it's open, it's friendly, it's clean, and really serves its purpose well.
very clean, minimalistic, readable. I like that highlighted menu item changes into speech bubble.
