Review:
Lots of information, maps, cottage blueprints, weather forecasts and great images, yet this site seems beautifully balanced, having made every consideration for the visitor, be he or she coming via browser or car.
I've seen quite a few sites with a similar feel - particularly the smashing , and I'm delighted that companies such as Parkdean are considering web standards and accessibility in their promotional material.
I do find it a bit odd that when you visit a particular section, the menu tab is blank (I am aware that there is a big title underneath though). Just seems a little strange.
Also, the JavaScript is a tad obtrusive. Disable JavaScript and some of the popups are rendered useless.
Still, the markup is lean, with the basic tags doing all the hard work at the expense of too many divs.
Basically, this website has made me want to book one of their lodges next year. I guess they understand promoting a business on the web. My every question has been answered via this tidy little site. Just don't say "splashpage".

Love this site, clean swift and precise with a real feel of Cornwall, navigation is perfect. Most folks heading that way or looking for a holiday do not need over the top flashy sites that are meant for other designers and yet miss the message completely.
This is a perfect example of what a site should be like aimed at ordinary people who need information delivered neatly and no time wasting.
I like it, you followed the concept well - "present Cornwall and what it has to offer, beauty in simplicity".
I do find it a bit odd that when you visit a particular section, the menu tab is blank (I am aware that there is a big title underneath though). Just seems a little strange.
that's ok for me, I find a bit odder the fact that the "introduction" tab, which brings back home, looks like all the others.
The label and the absence of a visual clue could trick you into thinking that there is an "introduction" section somewhere in the site.
Anyway, that's just boring nitpicking of small details, the site is just excellent :)
Aha! My comment belongs here! Please excuse previous posting of it on Burgerman page.
Just looked at The Glade site. I'm quite new to this, but all I wanted to know, as many potential users of the site would, was the price of the properties and couldn't see this information soon enough. Certainly not next to the profiles of them so after three clicks so I gave up. Also thought the photographs didn't give much away. The site, though pleasing with its pared-down feel, left me a bit frustrated. Wondered if "Fench doors" are similar to French doors or has the proofreading been overlooked!
I like the site, especially the virtual tour.
However, I'd agree that the blank tabs of the current section seem a bit odd.
And there's one more funny problem with the site: the masthead pictures on the pages get filtered by PithHelmet in Safari. Not sure, why it considers them ads.
Really, nice, suitable digital picture can make the page different, and you see this on this website. That nature picture gives another look and feel to the page. But menu button below the picture are draggin, perhaps this is not compatioable with itnternet explorer service pack2.0
This is my kind of site!! I like it.
