I believe you can form your own opinion now, the IE 7 Beta Preview is available for download:
www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/ie7betaredirect.mspx
I don't like it :) , heh damm I have to download it to view sites in it , coz the clients will want there future sites to look good in it :P
No matter what they do, websites will always look awful on Windows machines.
I downloaded it yesterday too... It's beta, so this means it won't change that much, right?
Then I have a problem, 2 sites of mine, are screwed up (http://www.davyvandenbremt.be/ and http://www.soundfell.com/).
So I guess it sucks :) (or it should be my mistake)
Now the development process will be... design for standards... adjust for ie 6, adjust for ie 7...
I experienced it as really slow too. Anyone else with the same experience?
I love how the MSN UK site looks in IE7 great work
To me, the buttons (refresh, forward - backward..) look dead-ugly. I also experienced it as really slow. The address bar is on top now, and there seems to be no way to relocate it. But! One thing seems to be gone regarding to css: the "3 pixel" bug! Happy about that, but I will continue to use Firefox.
And a dotted line is finally a dotted line, not dashed!
Uhhh - we might be in a lot of trouble with ie7. Looking at the screenshots that are posted of sites from people who really know their css and people who write css pretty good - look what ie7 is doing to some of them. This is going to be SHITTY.
FINALLY !!
"No matter what they do, websites will always look awful on Windows machines."
can i have your client base that uses windows... and i am going to leave it like that.

HOORAY!!!
yahooo is going to have a cow when they look at their site in IE7. anti-alias text, arrrrgh give me back my crisp text please., that said all my sites look fine in ie7, guess i can code after all ;)
Whatever enhancements they have made, it's never satisfying, especially with comparing with FireFox which is moving toward overwhelming IE completely.
Cool
i dont think IE is that bad - they added tabbed browsing - lol
ill take Opera over IE anyday
