Went to the support page hoping for some new content and ideas but it was the same old stuff. Any new ideas for expanding SG that we can work on? Many of us already contribute through the forums, through links and such...

I said it before, and I'll say it again, Stylegala is being forced into making a comeback. Simon, you need to take a look around and make sure that SG is on top of things, even if it's just new gallery editions. I'm not saying you should lower the standards, but make sure you are on the lookout for brand new sites to add.

Consider pumping out new features or updating existing features. Additionally, work out a campaign to put SG back on top, beginning first with mass linking, mass updates, and bringing life back to the site. Then consider a realignment/redesign - they always seem to drive traffic to sites when they need it.

I don't come to SG as often as I once did...it's not what is before hand. I feel as though the life has been drained out of SG. That might be more members faults, but nevertheless, it has happened.

Get a panel together and analyze the situation here, Simon. SG was falling before you came along, and you need to be the one to bring it back to it's

It's seems that the fact only 3 people have commented on Simon's post speaks volumes more than the post itself.

SG used to be my first port of call in the sea of css design sites.

Its submissions were regularly updated, and commented on by people who knew something about web design. The news was always relevant and helpful.

Somewhere along the line, SG lost its way. The gallery submissions dried up, and your now lucky if you see one a month. News is sporadic and some of it slightly off-topic.

There are now a glut of css design sites out there and its a crying shame that SG couldn't build on its reputation to be the showcase site that others aspired to.

Adding features would be an exercise in futility. There's nothing wrong with the current infastructure.

I'd like to see a concentrated effort on the gallery submissions. At the moment it seems a bit reactive, some so good ol' fashioned proactiveness wouldn't go amiss.

Lets hope SG can be the proverbial phoenix and regain its top spot.

you guys have got to be kiddingme, the whole reason the galleries have fallen off is because memeber bitch about them so much im sure it has become a bore to write any.

on a more mature note, you all have to understand that simply linking to a site as most galleries do and writting a short article are two totally different things. its takes more time and energy to do it, and then when you do, you get people telling you its not good enough, its a lose lose situation as i see it.

SG is now in a perpetual state of catch up and the members here are doing nothing to help that.

Stylegala is doing wonderfully in my opinion. I still visit a few times a day for news, less so for gallery items as there are other sites that update on a more regular basis. But that does not matter as I actually have come to prefer reading the news items. I also applaud Cameron and Roger for still supporting and contributing to SG as it seems that many of the old news authors have disappeared along with Hellsing ...

To Simon and everyone involved in this project, you're doing a good job. :)
