I dont think that is the "real" new version. This was posted at k10k:
"Got a brand new version of the K coming up at the end of the year - but for now there are some things we've been meaning to change for a while ... so bear with us if things are a bit broken this week"
I've always been a fan of K10k, but find my admiration of their design waning of late - hopefully they will prove me wrong with a killer new redesign later this year.
WAAAAY too many images making the page so heavy (400kb in total) and what about text-resizing with all the text on the buttons?
Then again I guess that isn't what K10k are about really...
Good site, but as was mentioned there are a lot of images. And I don't really dig all the tiny tiny pixel icons.
K10K was/is always about pixel fonts/icons to the max, they set new ground when they formed it. I see their site as an art piece, not to everyones taste but hey thats design for ya!
K10K is always k10k but i don't see any difference from the old site. I think it overrated.
Jonas: Some of the buttons now have gradients on them. Couldn't you tell? :)
Adding gradients is always a good substitute for actually doing something with your site. Andreas' articles have been the last "fresh" thing posted there, and even that is now spilling into the [greater than] 1-year category of "years."
