"Zune"... that sounds an awful lot like my dad when he used to try to say "Dude"
the xbox might do it (may already have), but the zune is so far is a flop. at amazon the black model is #37 in electronics, the brown is #97 and the white is #322. there are ten ipod models and two non-ipod players ahead of the best selling zune.
Zune you will have to give your dues to the omnipotent ruler of coolness, the all powerful and dominating MS Zune, well maybe not, but is iPod overrated even slightly though. An off the shelf mp3 player is fine with me, I like creative brand.
"What will it take for Microsoft to become “cool”?"
A miracle. Oh and that pigs can fly and all that.
I have a better question...
When will it stop begin "cool" to kick MS around?
Its not cool at all to stay at the Goliaths side in the battle with David. =O) This way Guy Kawasaki is use to describe this kind of battles.
As long as Microsoft attitude will continue to be "throwing chairs at the concurrence", only very stupid "dudeZunes" are going to find it cool.
Of course it is not that bad inside microsoft, they have wonderful professionals - and i happened to know some, but their management attitudes simply "suck", if you know what i mean.
Can Microsoft brand its way to coolness?
Well going on the ie7 homepage, I'd say no...
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/
microsoft will never be cool
