Carlos, I'm sure you are correct with regards your first point. However the scientific community have not fractured much at all on the differences (or lack of) between macro and microevolution. The water there has been muddied predominantly by religious groups. I refuse to be drawn into a discussion on this here as these comments will get quickly off-topic.
