I really like this redesign. I think it should be sent into eBay - it'd make *my* shopping nicer!
In fact, I'd LOVE a Google-style eBay site - I don't really need anything else, other than the search bar. Why should I login unless I want to Sell something? I can log in once I click "Place Bid". That'd stop some of the very-last-second bidding annoyances that happen on eBay too!
