did i miss something? when did artypapers become the big national or global ( cause im not sure they are in the states ) art contingecy that we should put weight on who she chose for best of year awards?

maybe that was a bit harsh.... hmmmm. nah.

well there is some insighful and great commentary. how about you grow up a bit and come back with an adult reason ing for comment?

until then as always i stand by my comments. looks a bit good ole boyish to me. if you disagree then fine. but lets keep it above to the belt for the under 18 year olds here huh?

on a a side not, isnt it refreshing that people make comments like that cloaked behind a vail of anonymity?

such is life.

No, I've never heard of them either.

Who, Tor? Artypapers? Shame on you ;)

David.... read the about section on the awards site.

"This is my (R. Marie Cox) attempt to capture why this year feels so different by creating a list of people, sites and things that I felt really helped to cultivate and energize that feeling."

"If you're wondering what qualifies this site to give out awards -- nothing does, I just up'n did it. Heh."

As you can clearly see, it's her personal view on the year...

and I still stick to my comment.

Merry Christmas! ;)

I did read that. now you go read her designer of the year , then go see how excited the poor guy got. but then again why bother, I'm the jerk her right . oh not to mention this spam by the rules set by this site.

let me clarify something real quick because Freddy R is trying to make me out to be some kinda monster and anyone who has been on this forum for any length of time knows that I am a helpful and caring person.

I dont mind arty papers best of. I quite enjoyed them. my sole point is here again we have the personal musings ( And i do realize that she did not come here and post this herself ) of an indivisual passed off as public news. my comment was more in that vein of why is this posted here, as opposed to who the hell gives a care about arty papers. if it came across that way my apologies. but i stand by what i said.

again public news is supposed to be some thing of interest to the community that helps them in some way or lets them know whats going on in the design industry. who is moving and shaking what. even the now and again personal self promos are ok when they pertain to something useful to the community,as in tutorials or how to start a business

this is questionable at

What? Why are you so excited? I just posted, that Artypapers released an Award. Nobody said, that Artypapers is the King of the Web. Nobody! Just relax.

My idea was it to show you an interesting Award on the Web. What´s the matter?

Michael, well I know the main site, but the award giving out-thing, I didn't know of.

I missed many extremely useful resources. As a web-developer, I visit 9rules from time to time, but there are resource I am visiting everyday. And CSS Beauty isn't as good as i.e. Design Shack (http://www.designshack.co.uk/). And I really-really missed The Web Developer's Handbook (http://www.alvit.de/handbook). It is THE resource for web-developers. So the choice is subjective, not objective.
