And it still sucks! sorry, for a site that showcases "good design"... not impressed
lol, beat me to the punch Coward.
I've got to agree here. Especially for a showcase site like this.
For a gallery site, its not showing off some of the top work I have seen on other gallery sites. [insert gallery site here]
well the older design was better, this isn't my kind of design/web I would surf twice mounthly :S
wow, just wow. when i read the comments i automatically assumed you guys were just being harsh, but that design is pretty bad.
What's don't you like about it? I think being more specific would be a lot more constructive.
1. logotype - it's awfull
2. the type below it, could be placed in only so many places that would look worse.
3. AdSense - on the top of the page, completely unfitted in the rest of the site colorwise
4. colors are bad
5. note the 3 columns on the front side. Each one has details that have nothing to do with each other.
6. search button, do you see anything else on the site that even by far resembles it? (anything round? anything with such a gradient behind?)
7. someone hasn't heard of text-decoration: none;, or even entering a bit different color for links, (not to mention active
8. just noticed - right side menu, on hover, OMG what color is that little "blue" border?
9. is there a single place where the author used the light blue color like in the cssforums latest threads th?
10. do I really need to go on?
11. colors are aaaarghOMGwwooohooufull. no design consistency, no design strategy, no design plan.
12. they might consider a pleade for help from designers who's w
I'm going to pick up where Tomo left off, and fyi public news is not a place for site critique thats why the 'helpful comments' where not made/
13."Comments with grammar/ spelling mistakes or lacking in substance will be deleted automatically to ensure the quality of what's posted."
laughable considering the look of the site
14. looks like a circa '97 shopping cart template site.
15. page curls on boxes are not implemented well
16. large red "report site" button is ragged at best
17. forms have a 'default styling' - subjective, but still...
18. Just under the submit button on an example page have 'next' and 'prev' links named with the next design but not saing "view next design. so you are left thinking, huh?
19. very little padding to all elements so that things seem crammed
20. no details. this site is not at all polished. varing font weights in the same range, meaning headers are 1em and linked headers are 1.2em.
this just lacks a professional quality
