yeah, it's actually a very good method for css based rollovers - we've used it on a few sites now, and the idea of JS based rollovers seems ridiculous now ;)

A few month ago, I was looking for a js to translate MIME code embedded in the html page back into graphics... but did not find anything worthy.

It can really increase a server performance when there are lots of graphics to upload.
