Erm, so far all I see is a styleless page. There's links to css documents, but they don't load.
hmmm, they must've taken it down, because it was working not too long ago. I let Andy (Malarkey, he designed it) know about it, so hopefully he'll get it fixed. maybe they took it down so they could fix it for IE, who knows?
nevermind, I think WordPress crashed. whenever I try to access a post I get an Internal Server Error (try accessing a post from their new feed http://webstandards.org/feed)
sweet design...relevant colours (!)
looks good however would like to see the yellow "a little less stronger" since its really hard on the eyes.
I like this, logo looks great in those colours. Nice touch with it in the bottom left.
It's a shame the strapline and footer don't line up with the grid, same goes for the content page navigation column.
Yellow on yellow for the content page strapline, not too easy to read. Maybe using a grey background (with black text) would open up the pallete a bit, making it easier on the eyes.
Apart from those points I think it's great. Bold, professional and current.
Maybe you are using a different vesion of IE than me but it renders exactly the same in IE/Firefox for me.
Not feeling it. I'm on a 20" iMac at work and the layout gets lost when the browser runs full window (not full screen, which would also look gross).
I agree with Binusha that the the colors are a garrish. Let's just say this is one of the sites that I'll enjoy via RSS instead of going there.
There are so many colors in a wasp, if one steps away from the 'puter for 5 mintues—heck if you even google "wasp" and peep the images—why just stay with yellow, black and white. Why be so agressive with the branding colors?
I don't think it's professional. I do think it's heavy handed, have always disliked the logo and the "WASP"... I mean really, where did the "A" come from?
Great project. Good history. Great articles. Ugly branding.
Case closed. Not hating. Just being honest.
Ok. Ok. Foot in mouth. "A" is for Accessibility.
OK. Total numbskull comment. I just knocked off a few points off my argument for letting my strong opions gete ahead of the facts.
OK. The fact still stands that in the process of being accessible, they nipped aesthetics in the bud.
