Multiple IE on PC?

Lifehacker have an interesting article on installing multiple versions of software. Does this mean every browser version on your PC too?

Back when I was on Windows, I had IE 1 thru 6 on it. Someone hacked the apps and made them all standalone versions. You might to a Google search to find them. No installing was required, they just worked.

but either 5.5 or 5.1 (can't remember) always crashed for me that way. also, i think it required xp or 2000 or something, maybe the lifehacker approach works on older Windows?

I've seen a few other ways of doing it too, but I wanted to see if this work with IE7 - I tried it out, and alas it didn't. I just thought it looked like a fairly simple way to do it without p'ing about with registry files and whatnot. Never mind!
