Yes, this is exactly why Mozilla and Microsoft have both posted huge press releases about this... if the poorly Photoshopped logo doesn't convince you this is fake, nothing will.
At least make it something believable. "Microsoft buys Mozilla" would've been better.

What a weak attempt. At least write more than a few blatant paragraphs with lots of exclamation points. Oh, and next year, get it on April 1st, not March 31st.

Yes -- very weak. Not very funny. Not believable. And as the above people said at least link to a fake release. Put some effort in and create a subdomain mozilla. on your site to trick people a little more.
Why can't you people just get into the spirit of the holiday? Why do you have to be so serious all the time?
And it is April 1st in some parts of the world (like here in Australia).
Whilst not the most flawlessly executed spoof, I'm surprised that some commented on the timing.
It seems that time zones aren't as understood as I thought.
Zones could've been forgiven if the post's date atleast appeared as April 1st. It says 31.03, so no wonder it's seen as kinda lame...
Ya ninnies! That was funny, Slashdots one was pretty good too, loved google dating.I only wish that mozilla would highjack explorer, make my life alot easier.... sigh.
