Kennedy Redesign

a bit bloated, the XHTML/CSS doesn't quite validate, but still not bad for a politician.

Duncan, this really should go in the forum not the public news section/ while i agree that the last few entries have been redesigned based, the subject matter of this one can potentially be divisive and better discussed in the forum.

I like the redesign- nice and clean. True, it's a bit bloated on those item loads but overall quite nice, I very much enjoy the news item transitions & the balanced layout.

BTW- I'm glad this piece was placed where it is; I might not have seen it otherwise and don't agree that it should be relegated to another area. I'm sure a great number of worthy sites could be seen as potentially divisive depending on the viewer's location & viewpoints (e.g. the Dalit Freedom Network, which I think is an outstanding site).

I personally don't mind, I was just trying to think about a broader base of viewers. besides that i was just in a 'debate' on this site about some politically slanted post in the public news, and i think that person might disagree with you ;)

Wow, that really is a nice site. Great to see politicians taking pride in good design.

Dan; David,

Great design, easy on the eyes, conforting feel!

Without rehashing the debate the other day. I believe if a site is posted with the intent of pushing a political point then it doesn't belong. If however if it's posted because it's an example of good design or it contains material, tutorials, news about design then it qualifies. In this case, it's an example of good design.

Personally, I strongly disagree with a Ted Kennedy who has been promising the same thing for the last 30 years on solving poverty which has only worsened it...study the results on his "solutions". Ironic, a bloated design exalting the virtues of bloated government...but it looks good!

The debate about what should be news and what should not be news will go on for eternity I am sure.

My opinion on this public post is that it belongs here on stylegala because it was posted and it is relevant to what we stand for. The political bent of the site is not important nor does it have more or less valid points to make than any other political site.

It is not important to stylegala who you support as long as it is good design that follows standards as best it can.

My personal opinion about this site is that it is a very professional design. Great layout, good color, cleanish code and user friendly.
