I don't get it. What's the point? What's the application for this technology? Looks like a nice demo for something that no one would ever use.

@ Bill : be very impressed by this, as it stitches panos on the fly and renders them in a 3D environment. That's not something you "just code" overnight ;)
to Bill Snebold: just think about virtual tour guides (toursim offices, estate agencies, architecture studios etc.) and you answered your question. i am sure, if you take some time, there is plenty more...
