I think faster broadband connections have led some to care less about page size, although it certainly becomes an issue when a large volume arrives at once.

Are you just trying to knock the designer for having a 350kb page or is there more to it. I'm not defending it, but look at most sites that show up in CSS galleries. A large percentage of them have huge background images that add 100kb +.

Get over it, seriously. Post something that is worth looking at all your doing is giving this guy hits. Who cares if the images are that large, his target audience is probably affulent enough to have broadband acces and would mind a large download. Wheres your site huh, why dont we run an accesibility test on that!!! Ohh but I forgot its a lot easier to point fingers.

Although page size is an important consideration in design, I don't really see what you are pointing us to here. This is not an article but a link to a website that has a large page size.

I will leave this "News" in place just as a reminder that page size is important and valid comments above have been made about target audience etc, but at the same time will give a warning that this is not a news article, it is just a link to a site with a large page size.
