sounds like all you have to do is create the Room1_userlist table in the database and all will be well with the world... did you even bother to try that, or is it, 'first error=horrible program'?

i think the first comment is referring to the example page, david, not an error after installing (the error message is displayed on the page this post links to, it's just not visible (black on black)). which, yeah, it does seem the example should work.
Everytime I join a chat it says I joined 3 times (and doesn't tell me if other people join) and if you move from room to room it sometimes tells you the name is in use already. The user list doesn't work either. More alpha than beta.
That's pretty buggy for a demo setup...
