This is similar to my experiences with Vista. So far I have enjoyed my experience and have even been helping my friends. I find that a lot of people who complain about vista are behind on basic troubleshooting skills.

I also understand that a lot of hardware manufacturers have been a bit slow with developing top quality drivers, I have a feeling this is going to slow the spread of vista for awhile but in the end people will realize what a great upgrade it is.

Great upgrade?

It took them 5+ years for this? All they did was slap on a nicer template and add some features that have been around on OS X and Linux forever. Pretty sad, IMO.

This is something I would have expected in maybe a year; two years tops.

Microsoft is at the end of the line if this is all they can do.

Ben, if you have used the operating system to it's full potential, you'd have other words... Verses standard blogger rants. Sorry, but it is a great upgrade if you USE Windows Xp.

And also to be clear, they didn't add anything that Apple did first... This isn't about Microsft verus Apple, they're different things, be smarter about it.
