Truly, and enough with the DHTML, that is so 1996. Get with the times and learn some real skills.
There is no fall back plan with javascript turned off, the fruits of your labor will go to waste. I think there are modal window goodies out there that will load directly into the page, if they don't load otherwise, like when js if off.
