Well, keep it up Devlounge. After all, internet is free so why not ur designs too? and then u will have copyright over it. Yuck!
Screw buddy, what do you think we're doing with the rest of the designs, keeping them to rip and resell? I'm a designer as well, I don't need anyone's designs to make myself money. And how is the contest not fair? One homepage mock, in exchange for a equally valued item. There's no coding involved, nothing else but putting together a design or mock, because we do everything else.

Its not fair because it is in fact one homepage mock for a CHANCE to be entered into a lottery to win an equally valued item.
So IF a designer uses their powers of mind reading and correctly guesses the design you (and committee?) like.
And IF you (and committee) have taste.
And IF no one better submits a design.
And IF the design is coded correctly (visually accurate) to make the resulting PR good instead of bad.
And IF a Zune equals the cost of the time put in to produce a design better then everyone else.
And IF they happen to have nothing better to do then sure it is a very fair exchange!!
You can always do what a certain CSS author did, run the contest... tell everybody there ideas are not good enough... keep the prize. Burn up plenty of goodwill, and fans that you may have been building for your site, and get called plenty of names to boot.
You wouldn't dare dither my images then would you??
