i'm sorry, but i took one look at that site and hit the back button as quick as i could.
Well from the look of the site, and the sites of people attending, none of them seem too worried about the designs of their sites. Honestly for me its hard to care about any type of content when there isn't any thought on how its being presented. I'm not going to seriously take say investment advice from a dirty looking hobo who hasn't showered in a week. He may have genius advice, but I'm not going to listen.
I'm subscribed to a feed elsewhere, the guy blogs plenty about blogging. I think "just doing it" is half the point, I'm not so convinced it's that formulaic of a deal... blogging.

Then you should all attend that conference and teach those people "what to do". They are bloggers, not designers. But I understand that the purpose of the conference is to make the blogs better. And I agree 100% with you: design matters. We need to teach people how important design is on the Web, especially accessible design. This is the purpose of SG after all! And that's why we hang around here: to learn.
