The site is not working. Upon entering a search term, it says "sorry, site suspended"

true - just checked it myself. but it was most definitely working when i posted this today. and it was really good at that. you could download great icons including alpha transparencies.

but at least they say "come back later" and i will have an eye on this.

it was probably suspended because of copyright infringment...

Depends whether it lets you download icons right there, or if it just links you to the websites where they're located, I suppose...

you can be sarcastic all you want schnuck, i was just lending an idea...

if he got dug or got some other high traffic site through there and got suspended by his host, then you would not even have been able to get to the home page or the 'site suspended' would have been on the home page.

being that the site suspended only happens after you put in a search query, my guess would be somebody confronted him about their icons being improperly used and email his/her host, who either instructed them to stop or force feed in site suspended line.

"Out buying servers.

Dear users. Due to heavy traffic this site has been suspended by the hosting company. :-( We're working on a solution as fast as possible."

and there you have it. the person is using a url redirect on iconfinder.net, the above message shows on that site but does not on the url schnuck, linked to...

david, what url are you talking about? and which url did i fail to link to? you already made me regret having posted this in the first place. if i post something on stylegala public news then i do this just for the only reason the public news section is (hopefully) meant to be. kick my ass if i linked to "affiliates" or anything like that - but that, my friend, will never happen. i only post public news when i personally believe it could be of public interest.

you are confused, schunck, please reread the post and you will see what happen. i didnt say you linked to an inappropriate page, it just so happen that the page you linked to had a redirect on it, not any of your falut at all, i was just jumping your bones for the uneccessary sarcasm directed my way...
