I just saw that too... iamjohnmills.com is also hacked... I think cssremix is powered by WP, but since his personal site is hacked as well I think it might not be a WP issue. It is probably a host vulnerability. The scary thing is it looks like it is trying to install a possible exploit when you view the site.

I HATE HACKERS!

That's terrible. I don't understand why someone would target a resource like that. What's even worse is that this Mr. beyrut-KaI3uS uses some seriously out dated code.

He seems to have his own page over at Zone-H http://www.zone-h.org/component/option,com_attacks/Itemid,43/filter_defacer,beyrut-KaI3uS/

Wow, bummer... CssRemix is my favorite of all the CSS galleries. John does such a good job of picking his sites, and I really value his opinions. I sure hope he has a backup somehow, if not "oh the pain".

He's on dreamhost. The guy probably just called and asked for access.

Dreamhost sucks

Wat worries me is that its taken so long to get the site sorted out... is he aware that this has happened?

WP is one of the most secure blog platforms, so I seriously doubt that it was the problem here.

Dreamhost, on the other hand, is known for their incompetence - more like Nightmarehost... Just google for "dreamhost problems" and you'll see what I mean.

The plot thickens... Wow just tried contacting john at an email I had for him and that bounced back also. A series of tough breaks, maybe this was just an old email for him.

Anybody have an email to contact John? He had another site, checking now... phewww it's safe: johnandsara.com/ maybe John could be contacted from this site. Good thing for marital bliss' sake that this site was not hacked also!

Best of luck on sorting it out John.

Oh man! That looks really ugly! I had my site hacked once and to be even worse Googlebot crawled my website right after the hacking. Imagine how the first result looked like when i was entering on Google my name. I don't know whose fault it is, but i tend to think that Dreamhost has it's share.

Your mission should you choose to accept it: Teach that hacker how to be a real designer, that was so-o-o-o lame!

The hacker is probably a designer who didn't get his site featured on CssRemix :) . I'm glad that it's all good now.
